Some predictionsI had whileI was reading were. I think that Waymen and Roy will playon the same football team if they both gotocollege because scouts from three different colleges came and watched them put a good performance on together.I also think that the grandma will get her land and they will catch the person who put stuff in the water. I think Roy and Waymen will go to college together because stories usually have good endings.
I would reccomend this book to somebody who likes mysteries and sports like me. This book has many events and you could really get lost if your not interested. I also would recomend this book to somebody who takes their time reading and uses strategies so they can follow along. My favorite part is when they found the dead birds because that made me think "how did they die?" and "who did it?" becauseIlike when books make me think.
Mrs. Boccuzzi-Reichert's response -
This is the third sports book I read in the Orca series by Sigmund Brouwer and onc

If i were to rate this book from one to ten one being bad i would give this book a 8 becase i really enjoyed this book.
My favorite part in this book is when Carly is walking her dog with Turk and Carly kisses Turk. I also like this part becase Turk finally relized he likes Carly and Carly likes him back.
4/9/08(Mrs. O'Connell) 4/9/08 I enjoyed reading the book Dog Walker. What will the man do with the bodies if he does kill Dan, Ms.Creaser, the bus driver, and his class? Will Dan save them all before it's too late? Etc." I alsopredicted beforeI finished the bookthat Dan was going to save everyone including himself and the police would come in time to arrest the man on a killing spree (or at least trying to). And that is what happened--Dan ended up tyingthe bad guy up on a post in a pig pen and he used the gun he had to shoot the door down to get his class, Ms. Creaser, and the bus driver in the dark building. He ended being the hero and Shane actually started to treat him nicer.
3.31------I would recommend this book because it helps you with your reading strategies and it's a good book if you like suspense. 3-13-08 I am reading Ghost House and it is an okay book. It couldn't have been realistic because I don't thinkthere would be a man jumping around with a chain in the house.
3-19-08 Some questions I had while I read the book were, "Why were the windows not breaking? Why did the clock ringafter they were in the housefor a while but not before when they were in the house? Why do the batteries go out but later they work? Are they ever going to get out of the house?" While I read the book, I visualized the boys climbing through the window. When I read I could see them in my mind, climbing into the Blackwood house.Zach and Tyler were the only two people in the house.I wouldn't have one person with me. I would have a group of friends. I predict the boys are in the house and they hear a noise. WhenI read I thought the boys would get out of the Blackwood house.
Becca - I FINALLY got on the ball here! March 20, 2008 The main conflict in this novel is Roy Linden. Hehas problem talking to people because he stutters. I think this conflictwill be resolved because Linden has been practicing getting better at speaking everyday and so I think he is going to fix his stuttering problem . 4-10-08 (Miss Gagie) Rebel's Tag was a good book. From the very beginning of the book, I wondered where Sam's grandfather was and also wondered whether or not Sam was going to meet him. Sam was angry when he received the first letter from his grandfather but his friend, Indi, made him think more about it--he ended up doing what his grandfather asked him to do. It was the first time Sam had heard from his grandfather since his father died so Sam was surprised to hear from him. I'm glad that Sam decided to read the letters and do what his grandfather asked him to do. I think he would have regretted it if he had ignored his grandfather's requests.
My favorite part of the book was when Sam was on the older couple's roof and ended up getting caught! It was amazing to me that the owners didn't call the police! I certainly thought they would--it was even more amazing to me that the only thing they asked him to do (as a form of punishment) was paint their garage! I never predicted they would react like that! 4-10-08 (Miss Gagie) I agree with you Brittany. I liked this book a lot! It's also one of my favorite books too! As I read this book, it was very suspenseful--I couldn't put it down! I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next! Vicki Grant created quite an interesting character when she wrote about Dan. There were times when I really felt sorry for him and then there were other times when I thought he was very brave and could really take care of himself! I think all the things that happen to him in the book end up helping him gain more self confidence and also help him get more respect from his classmates. I actually have more than one favorite part in this book because every time Dan got one step closer to helping his classmates, I almost started cheering for him! It was easy for me to picture certain "scenes" in the book. I have visited farms, so when Dan is in the barn and trying to find a way to escape, it was easy for me to picture Dan's way of making his attempt at escaping.
I

3-26-08: Karin blamed Reneta for stealing her watch and she could loose her part because of it. Will Reneta loose her part in the play? Reneta gets a part in the play. I can connect to that because my friend has gotten a part in a play before. I would recommend this book to anyone because it is very interesting and it relates toour school so much. Just like in school there are those mean girls who want to get the main part in the play so theytry to blame things on the girl who got the lead part.My favorite part of the story was when Reneta stood up in front of the whole school it must of took alot of courage.
4-10-08 (Miss Gagie) I enjoyed reading Queen of the Toilet Bowl. Renata is a student who is trying to make new friends at her new school. I'm sure it's hard to make new friends, especially in middle school and high school. My first question was I wonder if Jason is jealous about having someone on the team that is faster than him?It seems like he is because before their track pratice,Jason and Jason's teammates put tacks on the bottom of David's shoes so when he ran he had tacks going through his feet. David wasn't going to blame the injury on Jason and instead David justran right through it. During the bookI was introduced to a new character.
